And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. Matt. 27:51 |
Matthew records a fact of great significance. When Jesus died the curtain that cordoned off the Holy of Holies in the Temple was torn in half. That meant the old order was broken – and all of us can now approach a Holy God directly, because of Christ's work. Access to God is real through Christ.
Cono put on C.S. Lewis’ “Narnia” early this week. Teachers Becca Gojda and Rose Rehberg led the way. And who should show up as Aslan? None other than Glen Fults (Cono Class of '90). Wallace Anderson said: "It was wonderful. What a joy watching these covenant children, especially as we celebrate the Resurrection. It makes it all worth it."
“At that moment they heard from behind them a loud noise—a great cracking, deafening noise as if a giant had broken a giant’s plate.... The Stone Table was broken into two pieces by a great crack that ran down it from end to end; and there was no Aslan.” – from The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe |
