Encouragements and Challenges

Detective fun at Ridge Haven Cono Winter Camp   Encouragements: • We have been visiting churches around the area and getting good response re: opening Noe, Westfall, and Roskamp for youth groups etc with the new sprinklers. • School is going very well…two full-time teachers and two part-time for 25 students but we have seven possible new students for next fall and then we will have all grades, 1 -12th being taught! Our goal is 10 more a year. Challenges • For people to understand the need and purpose of Christian education. • For strong, grace-based churches in the area to minister to Jr. High and High School kids. • Funds to allow us to open at least one or two classrooms in the old part of Alling Hall for the fall and then we need the chemistry lab in 2024. That side of Alling was left in disrepair and needs lots of work. Currently the hallway to the old section is “walled off” and we want to move that hall down the hall to allow at least one more classroom and hopefully two. The three biggest expenses are: 1. to get heat and air in the building to stop the mold etc and further deterioration, 2. reinstalling the fire alarm system, and upgrading the electrical work. We estimate needing between 50-70k. We will not be working on the upstairs at all except to make sure the electricity is stable.
