Ridge Haven Cono prepares for Kids and Changed Lives
Building Cono Camper Cabins
Ridge Haven is excited to branch into the Midwest and provide greater potential for young people from Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and St. Louis to attend its camping programs.
Cono’s shift to a camp and retreat center—in the state of Iowa—means that there are additional fire regulations we must conform to. State regulations are strict for camps where young people are staying for two weeks or less. Accordingly, we will install a sprinkler system in all dormitory areas, but that is a larger project that will take 18 months to complete.
For this summer, we need to immediately construct 12 small, rustic cabins. These are 28' x 12' buildings that will house 12 campers each. The cabins do not need services other than electricity. Heating may be added later, and bathroom/shower facilities are in our nearby existing gymnasium. For now, we simply want to get these cabins up so that they can be occupied by late June. We have carpenters in Iowa who are skilled at construction. We would like to begin construction in the very near future and would greatly appreciate your assistance to do so. Donations can be made online through the below link.

From Wallace Anderson, Executive Director
I am happy that we can continue the life-changing ministry that Cono has been known for. We expect, by God's grace, to see Him work. Thank you for your part in Cono historically, and for watching this ministry unfold and make a difference for young people again. |

And from Andrew Belz
Cono is poised to reach hundreds of young people. I encourage every person who has ever been a student, been a parent of a student, supported, or worked at Cono—to stay involved right now in Ridge Haven Cono's initiatives to train young people to know Christ and to live for him.
